UFL To NFL Rundown: 2026 Week Eight Rundown

Just like that, we are officially eight weeks through the NFL’s 2026 season. We saw over a dozen UFL to NFL athletes in action yet again, speaking volumes to the assets they are to their respective teams week in and week out.

Let’s take a look at what went down this weekend.

Cleveland Browns

K Andre Szmyt, Battlehawks
LS Rex Sunahara, Brahmas

The Browns struggled to put up points in Pittsburgh, scoring just six. All of those came off of the leg of Andre Szmyt, who has been on a generational run as of late. Szmyt made both field goal attempts this week, with a long of 49 yards.

Detroit Lions

RB Jacob Saylors, Battlehawks
WR Tay Martin, Aviators
K Jake Bates, Panthers

Jacob Saylors and Tay Martin were both active for special teams action in their win over Minnesota at Ford Field. Saylors returned one kick for 27 yards, while Martin notched a tackle in special teams coverage.

Jake Bates scored seven points, missing a field goal for the first time this season from 46 yards out. He was 2-for-3 on FG attempts, while connecting on an XP as well.

Atlanta Falcons

WR Chris Blair, Defenders
DL LaCale London, Battlehawks

In the mess that was Sunday’s game between Atlanta and Tampa Bay, LaCale London shined. He racked up five tackles, to go along with two defensive stops and a 70.7 tackling grade via PFF. Chris Blair was not heavily featured on any side of the ball.

Denver Broncos

DE Dondrea Tillman, Stallions
LS Mitchell Fraboni, Maulers

In Denver, the Broncos came away with a major comeback win over Kansas City at Mile High. Dondrea Tillman didn’t see a slew of action, but did notch a tackle and a pass breakup in the win.

Dallas Cowboys

WR KaVontae Turpin, Generals*
CB Ameer Speed, Gamblers
K Brandon Aubrey, Stallions

The Cowboys were without KaVontae Turpin once again, dealing with an injury suffered a few weeks back on a return. Ameer Speed was on the field defensively, with one tackle and a pass breakup to his name. He was targeted four times, allowing two receptions for 26 yards.

Brandon Aubrey missed a field goal this weekend, but it was from 61 yards out as time expired – not a kick that even the best will connect on every day. He scored 12 of Dallas’ 30 points.

New York Jets

OL Kohl Levao, Brahmas
DL Jack Heflin, Roughnecks

This week, Jack Heflin was finally active again, and made the most of his snaps. He racked up a tackle and three quarterback pressures, with an impressive 74.3 pass rushing grade via PFF. Kohl Levao did not take any offensive snaps this week.

Other UFL To NFL Performances

Defenders WR Brandon Smith, Steelers: Smith was signed to the Steelers active roster this week. He did not record any receptions, but saw snaps on offense and special teams.

Renegades DT Jalen Redmond, Vikings: It was a bit of a quieter week for Jalen, with two tackles and a pass defensed in their loss to Detroit.

Defenders P Daniel Whelan, Packers: Daniel’s name was called quite often on Thursday night vs. Carolina. He had five punts for 223 yards, averaging 44.6 yards per punt.

Former Renegades long snapper Christian Kuntz, Guardians long snapper Nick Moore, and Maulers long snapper Mitch Fraboni were also in action this weekend.

Once again, the UFL continues to showcase its value to the pro football ecosystem. Without the national platform they provide their athletes with, these opportunities likely wouldn’t be possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
