Scammers target potential XFL Draft participants

The XFL Draft is just a couple weeks away, and today we’re hearing some unfortunate news. Earlier today Malik Duncan posted an e-mail that at first glance seemed to have come from Eric Galko. Once he read into it, the e-mail was asking for cash payments in exchange for a guaranteed spot in the draft. Fortunately, Duncan realized this was a scam and thankfully posted it to social media to warn others.

Duncan wasn’t the only person target either. Others have posted the e-mails they have received as well.

According to @DraftDiamonds XFL representatives have told him that Galko’s e-mail account was hacked.

It’s unfortunate that we have to write about this, but we wanted to spread the word. If you’re looking for a spot in the league, they will not ask for money in return for draft spots. Stay safe out there!
