The XFL Draft is just a couple weeks away, and today we’re hearing some unfortunate news. Earlier today Malik Duncan posted an e-mail that at first glance seemed to have come from Eric Galko. Once he read into it, the e-mail was asking for cash payments in exchange for a guaranteed spot in the draft. Fortunately, Duncan realized this was a scam and thankfully posted it to social media to warn others.
I woke up this morning extreme grateful. I work really hard and thought it was all paying off. I thought I received an invite from @xfl2020 via email but it turned out to be a scam. pic.twitter.com/cJeSCgPNlc
If you receieved an email from the @xfl2020 Player Personnel guy @EricGalko saying you need to pay 150 dollars to have your film evaluated, it was not him. His account was hacked according to several at the XFL Office. Please do not respond to the email. @MAnzio77
It’s unfortunate that we have to write about this, but we wanted to spread the word. If you’re looking for a spot in the league, they will not ask for money in return for draft spots. Stay safe out there!
