The league has already signed Landry Jones, but that leaves 7 other Tier 1 spots open. Last weekend the XFL coaches and scouts were in Houston discussing the NFL cuts in preparation for the upcoming XFL Draft.
One of those cuts was Chargers backup quarterback, Cardale Jones. The good news is, he seems to have some options at his disposal.
According to Tom Krasovic of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Wildcats Offensive Coordinator Norm Chow has his eye on Jones.
“You would hope that this league would entice people like Cardale and give them a platform.”
“A guy like Cardale would be very valuable in my mind to the XFL.”
“Why would a team not be interested in a young man like that?” Chow said. “He’s big, he’s strong, he can throw the ball, he moves OK. He certainly will help some football team somewhere.”
