“Dynomite” Kuhn to be named Director of Football Operations for XFL Houston

Sources say former Howard Bison Director of Football Operations, Dynomite Kuhn, will serve as June Jones Director of Football Operations in Houston XFL.

Kuhn, who goes by “Dynomite,” has previously served as recruiting coordinator with Brevard College. During his stint, he was instrumental in reviving the program which suffered through a single-win in three seasons during transition from Division II to Division III.

Due to Kuhn’s work, the program saw immediate success featuring a winning record on the road in 2017 and the program’s first back-to-back road wins for the first time since 2010.

Prior to his success at Brevard, Dynomite spent three seasons at Tennessee State University. During his tenure, he orchestrated a NFL Pro Day which featured more student-athletes drafted than any other school in Tennessee. He was also responsible for season scheduling and negotiating the largest single-game guarantee in TSU Tigers football history.

At Georgia Southern, Dynomite served as the executive assistant to the head coach and was responsible for construction oversight of a $13 million-dollar football end zone complex. He assisted in the design implementations for the weight room, locker room, and training room area. Dynomite was on the staff that became the first FCS program to defeat an SEC team at home when Georgia Southern defeated the University of Florida Gators in 2013.

Dynomite’s prior positions include being the chief of staff with the Hartford Colonials (2011-12), director of video and football operations at Portland State (2006), director of football operations with the University of Pennsylvania (2006-09) and director of operations with the Austin Wranglers (2003-06) . His first position was as a pro-personnel intern with the Buffalo Bills in 2001.
