It’s only Tuesday and we’ve already heard so much news in regards to Houston, looks like we have some more information coming from up north in New York. Former Albany Empire (AFL) Head Coach and Atlanta Legends (AAF) Director of Football Operations is saying that he is joining the XFL.
Thompson first posted on Twitter saying “They say when one door closes others open”. Eluding to something exciting happening soon.
They say when one door closes others open. Well, April was a first for many things for me and my family but we are excited for what’s to come in May and rest of the 2019 year! pic.twitter.com/Do9xFGHAaf

A week after this cryptic tweet, Thompson followed up with another stating that he is excited for his next journey to begin showing an XFL New York banner. He has also updated his Twitter bio, which now shows “Football Ops XFL-NY, former AAF team DFO, Former 8-yr arena football Head Coach/AGM, 2017 NAL Coach of the Year, and 6-time FCS/National Bowl Head Coach/OC”.
