In a turn of events, the Vegas Vipers have made a QB change. With less than three weeks to go until the XFL kicks off, the Vipers have signed Brett Hundley for the 2023 season.

This is quite the move, especially considering the circumstances. Bryan Scott, the former Philadelphia Star, was projected by many to be the starter for Vegas. He shared that QB room with Luis Perez, and Jalan McClendon.
Now, everything has shifted. Due to Hundley signing with the Vipers, Bryan Scott was released.
Brett Hundley signing with Vegas certainly came out of left field. Hundley has spent plenty of years in the NFL, most recently with the Baltimore Ravens. He has also been with the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and Seattle Seahawks.

All of a sudden, Hundley is now the projected starter in Vegas. This almost seems like a no brainer. There would be no reason for Vegas to bring in the NFL veteran if he wasn’t primed to start for the team.
However, he will have to get accustomed to the playbook quickly. On February 18th, the Vipers will kick off their season against the Arlington Renegades.
Scott is currently weighing his options with both the USFL and XFL. #XFL teams are calling at the moment, but if the right #USFL opportunity presents itself, don't be surprised if he returns for season two.

Currently, Scott is fielding calls from other XFL organizations. At the same time, he is keeping his options open. If a USFL team calls, and it’s the right fit, we could see Bryan return to the league. Scott could be starting material for multiple XFL and USFL franchises.
Update on Bryan Scott in the XFL: the Vegas Vipers simply released him due to Scott underperforming in training camp. Per sources, the team had been attempting to trade him for weeks – and ultimately let him go today.
Scott is now a free agent & can sign with the #XFL or #USFL.
