It’s been a wild week of speculation. After all the clues have been dropped the league has finally announced that they will unveil their team identities this Wednesday. We spoke about this on This Week in The XFL, and it seems to be coming to fruition.
The official announcement will be on ESPN.com, FoxSports.com and of course XFL.com. The stream will start at 12:30 pm EST. Be there, or be square.

We had originally reported that the date would be on August 21st during the last episode of This Week in the XFL. This was based off an interview with XFL Houston Head Coach/GM June Jones. There was a bit of confusion earlier, that lead a lot to believe the announcement was coming tomorrow. This was based off a few social media posts from XFL St. Louis Team President Kurt Hunzeker. The speculation is now done. We know finally know the date that we’ll be hearing the news we’ve all been waiting for.
