Now that all the Coaches have been named, what's next for the XFL?

XFL Suspends Day-to-Day Operations Effective Immediately

As you know by now the XFL suspended it’s season just five games into the season due to the spread of COVID-19. Yesterday, each franchise sent a note to 2021 season ticket depositors letting them know that the money would be refunded. They said that the reason was because they knew people needed cash in hand now. This led to speculation among many fans.

Well, just now it was revealed that the XFL has suspended its day-to-day operations effective immediately. As a result all team and league employees have been terminated. XFL employees will be paid through April 12th, along with their accrued PTO.

This is a huge blow for the league, so far there hasn’t been a comment on if the league still plans to return for a 2021 season, hold out for 2022 or throw in the towel. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more on this situation.

Let us know if you think the league will return down in the comments below or join the conversation on Discord.

  1. This is really sad to me because the league was doing really well in Seattle. The Dragons fans were devoted and vocal and the one game I was able to attend was really fun. Why can’t the NFL invest and buy out the league and then use them as a minor league for the NFL? I know I’m not the only one who thinks this is a good idea.

  2. Really really enjoyed watching the XFL. Hoping they regroup and return. Sometimes the NFL and the constant whining about “getting paid” gets old. The XFL was refreshing. PLEASE COME BACK!
