USFL on NBC

USFL on NBC Play-by-Play Announcers, Analysts, and More Revealed

Reports of broadcast crews for the USFL on FOX and NBC have began to surface in recent days. FOX tabbed both of their broadcast teams earlier today, while fans have now been looking to see who helms the broadcast both for NBC come the inaugural weekend of action.

It appears we have the answer.

Sports business reporter Bill Shea for The Athletic has reported that the two USFL on NBC broadcast teams will be headed up by Jac Collinsworth and Paul Burmeister as play-by-plays. Jason Garrett, Michael Robinson, and Cameron Jordan will head up duties as analysts. Zora Stephenson and Corey Robinson will handle sideline reporting duties, and Sara Perlman will host halftime and postgame coverage.

Collinsworth has been an up and coming star at NBC in various roles since joining NBC in March 2020. Some include, but not limited to, co-hosting Football Night in America, co-hosting NBC’s Super Bowl LVI Pregame Show and play-by-play for Atlantic 10 college basketball games.

Burmeister has also served in many capacities at NBC in play-by-play and hosting roles. Previous play-by-play roles include, but are not limited to, the All-American Bowl, the Bayou Classic, and college basketball.

For analysts, Michael Robinson has plenty of experience in-studio with NFL Network and BIG 10 Network after an eight year career as an fullback with the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Cameron Jordan currently plays defensive end for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, but has had his share of TV assignments in recent years for NFL Network and FOX. One such assignment being a guest reporter for FOX during Week 5 of the 2020 XFL season. Garrett, a former NFL QB, offensive coordinator, and head coach, will be getting his first broadcast experience.
