Brandon Aubrey has done it once again. The former Birmingham Stallions kicker had an impressive week one debut – but followed it up with an even better showing in week two.
The Dallas Cowboys are now 2-0, having dominated the New York Jets en route to a 30-10 victory on Sunday. Kicker Brandon Aubrey played a major role in the win. He accounted for 16 of the Cowboys’ 30 points, scoring six more points than the Jets team altogether.

Aubrey kicked things off smoothly on Sunday, knocking through an extra point and a 35 yard field goal in the first half.
In the third quarter, his strong leg was put on full display. After hitting from 21 yards out, Brandon Aubrey crushed a 55 yard field goal to put Dallas up 24-10.

Throughout the entire affair, Brandon Aubrey was about as consistent as could be. He was 5/5 on field goal attempts, and hit on his one XP try of the afternoon.
Former Tampa Bay Bandits kicker Ty Rausa had this to say about Aubrey’s performance:
“Brandon Aubrey is your perfect example of why spring football matters…AND why more of the spring league specialists deserve chances. Many would perform like this!”
Since missing on his first XP attempt of the season, Aubrey has been absolutely perfect for the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones certainly made the right decision in bringing in the USFL athlete, one who was stellar for the Birmingham Stallions in back to back Championship runs.
Final Thoughts
The Cowboys clearly love their USFL athletes. Last year, they signed USFL MVP KaVontae Turpin, who ended up making the NFL Pro Bowl as a returner in 2022.
On Sunday, Turpin was relatively quiet. He had two rushes for six yards, and a reception for nine yards.

Tonight, the Carolina Panthers play the New Orleans Saints. This game will feature DT LaBryan Ray (Carolina), who was with the Philadelphia Stars in 2023.
