Back in 2020 there was one team that had a solid fanbase from the very beginning. That was the St. Louis BattleHawks. Not only did they lead the XFL in social media followers, they held the record for the highest attendance. Had COVID not happened, the BattleHawks were on pace to host over 50,000 for their week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Wildcats.
The team XFL team names and logos were reportedy set to come a few weeks ago. But, due to Hurrican Ian, the league has postponed the announcement. With XFL co-ownner Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson currently promoting his Black Adam film, it looks like fans are will need to wait on the sidelines.
Although the names haven’t been made official by the league, we reported a possible leak not too long ago which potential gives some insight into where the league is heading. The leak stems from a page from the XFL Shop, which at the time displayed the eight potential team names.

It looks like we may have further confirmation that not only the BattleHawks name will return, but that the logo will be unchanged as well.
KJ Sales tweeted out an image earlier thanking XFL St. Louis head Coach Anthony Becht and WR Coach Ricky Proehl for the workout opportunity. In the image, it shows Proehl holding a binder which displays the original BattleHawks logo.
This is still not 100% confirmed, but it seems like where there is smoke there is fire.
Fans are anticipating the XFL team names and logos, but it shouldn’t be long before the league finds the time to make the annoucement. With the XFL Draft set for November 16th and 17th, you’d expect that the news would drop before the event.
All we can do is cross our fingers at this point, but if you’re a fan of St. Louis it looks like you should be able to rest easy.
