CFL Fans React to the Edmonton Elks Name Reveal

TSL Jousters QB Drew Anderson Signed by CFL’s Edmonton Elks

You should be aware by now that The Spring League 2021 season is in the books. Nearly two weeks ago the Linemen took on the Jousters for the top spot in the league’s Mega Bowl championship game.

Since The Spring League season wrapped up we’ve seen a number of signings, and today is no different. Today, the Edmonton Elks announced the signing of Jousters quarterback Drew Anderson.

Anderson played collage ball at Murray State University, and would go on to join the Arizona Cardinals. In his three appearances for the team he completed 18 of 32 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns.

Most recently he served along Luis Perez for the Jousters in The Spring League. He shared the playing time throughout the season, taking the field for the second half, with Perez playing in the first.

This just proves that The Spring League is succeeding in their goal mission of giving players an opportunity to showcase their skills. We expect to see more names from this past season get scooped up as the CFL and NFL seasons draw closer. Not to mention, the upcoming return of the USFL in 2022 should provide a lot of opportunities for these players to find a spot.
