Mathew Sexton Matthew Gotel Michal Menet Sign With Falcons | Vegas Vipers XFL

Three XFL Players Sign With The Atlanta Falcons

On Thursday, August 3rd, three more XFL players signed with a NFL team. Which team did they all sign with – the Atlanta Falcons. The three players: San Antonio Brahmas DL Matthew Gotel, Seattle Sea Dragons OL Michal Menet, and Vegas Vipers WR Mathew Sexton.

Vegas Vipers Matthew Sexton played in all 10 games last season. He brought in 364 yards on 23 receptions. At 5’9” 175 lbs, Sexton is a little undersized for receiver, and will likely line up in the slot. The Falcons team lacks depth and star power at Wide Receiver outside of sophomore receiver Drake London. Sexton has a good chance of finding his way into the team.

San Antonio Brahmas Matthew Gotel also played in all 10 games last season. At 6’1” 341 lbs, Gotel is a large presence in the middle of the defensive line. He recorded 23 total tackles on the season, including 6 tackles for a loss. Note: Gotel has already been released by Atlanta.

Seattle Sea Dragons Michal Menet will likely have a bit harder of a time earning a spot on the final 53 man roster, with three other centers on the roster. Menet was originally selected in the 7th round in the 2021 draft, and then spent some time on the Green Bay Packers practice squad.
