St. Louis Battlehawks Add OT Teton Saltes With Doxtater Injured

It’s been a busy weekend for the St. Louis Battlehawks. Aside from signing DB Channing Stribling, the team added OT Teton Saltes to the roster as well, according to UFL reporters Mike Mitchell and Anthony Miller from Sports Illustrated’s Fan Nation network.

Spring football is nothing new for Teton. He played with the USFL’s Michigan Panthers in 2022, serving as a valuable depth piece for their offensive line.

In 2023, Saltes was with the Arlington Renegades, and ultimately earned an XFL Championship victory with the team. He was stuck on the injured reserve list for most of the year, but made an impact when healthy.

Teton went into UFL training camp with the Renegades, but was released during this past set of cutdowns. Now, he’ll get another opportunity with the St. Louis Battlehawks.

This signing makes sense for the Battlehawks, as Sage Doxtater was placed on the injured reserve list last week. Sage played with the Houston Roughnecks, starting in five games last year. He was picked up by the Battlehawks during the dispersal draft process. Hopefully, his injury isn’t season ending, but the addition of Teton Saltes certainly helps fill that gap.

General Manager Dave Boller and Head Coach Anthony Becht continue to add Championship-caliber pieces to this roster ahead of kickoff. Channing Stribling is a major pickup, as his All-USFL efforts helped lead Philadelphia to their USFL Championship run in 2022. Meanwhile, Saltes just won an XFL Championship with the Renegades.
