Seattle Seahawks To Sign Stallions RB Ricky Person Jr.

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign Birmingham Stallions RB Ricky Person JR., per multiple reports that surfaced yesterday. Person has spent the last two seasons in Birmingham, and now seems to be on his way back to the NFL.

Ricky Person Jr. was a midseason addition to the Stallions back in the 2023 season, coming up from the arena ranks. He played in four games last year, totaling 83 rushing yards. He made a solid impact in their USFL Championship run in the postseason, with 122 yards in those two games.

Fast forward to the 2024 season, and things were a bit different. The USFL and XFL merged, and Person Jr. was fighting for a roster spot with this team. He went into Training Camp and emerged as RB2, right behind C.J. Marable.

Person had an outstanding year, especially in scoring situations. He ended up leading the league in rushing touchdowns, with six in the regular season.

In the UFL Championship game, the Birmingham Stallions desperately needed a spark. Ricky turned out to be the guy they were looking for, ripping off a couple of big runs to get the offense going. Person ended up rushing for 102 yards in that game, helping the Stallions earn their third straight title.

After a tremendous UFL campaign, it now appears that Ricky Person Jr. will be signing with the Seattle Seahawks. It should be made official this week.
