The USFL Collegiate Draft: Providing Life Changing Opportunities

Seattle Seahawks Signing Michigan Panthers DE Levi Bell

Just like that, another Michigan Panther is headed to the NFL. DE Levi Bell has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, per Aaron Wilson. This happened just hours after WR Kaden Davis signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Bell is the second Panther to sign with an NFL team.

Levi Bell joined the Michigan Panthers midseason, and immediately made an impact up front. Bell was originally drafted in the USFL 2023 Collegiate Draft, and signed ahead of week five. He finished the USFL season with 17 tackles, and four sacks.

In addition, Bell was one of the top graded Panthers during the year. According to PFF, his season grade was 91.8, making him the second highest ranked player in the entire league:

“Levi Bell’s first snaps this season came in Week 5, and he proceeded to earn a combined 71.7 overall grade across his first three games. That quickly turned into a 92.7 grade across his final three regular-season games, the highest mark of any USFL player at any position over the span. He finished the year as the second-highest-graded defender, behind only the Showboats’ Kyree Woods.”

After a successful workout with the Seattle Seahawks yesterday, Bell has officially signed with the team. Seattle was aggressively hunting a USFL athlete, having also worked out LB Frank Ginda and LB Kyahva Tezino alongside Bell.

Had it not been for the platform – and the national exposure – that the USFL provided him with, who knows if this opportunity would have come along. Levi Bell is the ninth USFL player from 2023 to sign with an NFL team.
