San Antonio Brahmas Sign Free Agent OL/TE Connor Davis

The San Antonio Brahmas had a couple of roster spots open up, which allows for the signing of OL/TE Connor Davis to the team as UFL Training Camp gets underway this week.

As Pat Rifino puts it, this is an “interesting addition”. It’s a rather odd storyline for Connor, as he’s been listed as a tight end, wide receiver, and offensive lineman over the course of the past year. On the UFL’s press release, he is listed as a lineman.

Davis has a long history of playing in spring football leagues. He was with the Birmingham Iron in 2019, and caught three passes for nine yards during the AAF’s shortened season. Connor also was rostered with the XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks in 2020.

Most recently, Davis spent time with the Michigan Panthers in 2022. He caught three passes for 25 yards during that season, including a two point conversion reception.

Throughout his career, Connor Davis has primarily been a blocking tight end. This was evident during his college years at Stony Brook, as he caught six passes for 41 yards through four seasons.

Considering he is listed as an offensive lineman with the San Antonio Brahmas, it is safe to say that they plan on utilizing his blocking skills moving forward.

Final Thoughts

Just yesterday, the San Antonio Brahmas added DB Thakarius Keyes, and now finalize another roster piece with Davis. This comes with the news that BJ Wilson, Austin Edwards, and Kevin Tolliver II did not report to training camp.

Connor Davis joins a loaded offensive line room in San Antonio. It’ll be tough for him to crack the regular season roster – but his lengthy experience in this scene could be the pathway to making it to the final 50.
