Bud Select to be Named Official Beer Sponsor of St. Louis BattleHawks

Earlier this week we reported that Bud Select was set to be named the official beer sponsor of the St. Louis BattleHawks. Last night Anheuser-Busch and the BattleHawks made the news official at one of the teams Happy Hour fan engagement events. The event took place at the St. Louis Anheuser-Busch Biergarten.

Beyond being the official beer sponsor Bud Select will also server as presenting partner for the BattleHawks Happy Hour fan engagement events going forward.

As part of the partnership, the Battlehawks and Bud Select will expand Happy Hour+ events to additional locations across St. Louis and the surrounding area, including The Dome at America’s Center. Anheuser-Busch will also host fan activities and bring its famous pop-up bar to BattleHawks’ tailgates at Baer Plaza prior before each home game.

ST. LOUIS BATTLEHAWKS AND ANHEUSER-BUSCH ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP AHEAD OF 2020 XFL SEASON

ST. LOUIS, MO (January 14, 2020)  – The XFL St. Louis BattleHawks and Anheuser-Busch InBev announced today a new partnership naming Bud Select the team’s official beer and Anheuser-Busch the team’s official malt beverage provider.

Bud Select will also serve as the presenting partner of the BattleHawks’ Happy Hour Plus (+) fan engagement program, where football fans are able to eat, drink and learn about the XFL from members of the BattleHawks organization.

The two homegrown organizations officially launched their partnership and welcomed BattleHawks’ fans to the first Bud Select Happy Hour+ on Tuesday, January 14 at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten in Downtown St. Louis.

“The Battlehawks are St. Louis born, and Bud Select is ‘Brewed for The Lou,” which makes us perfect together,” said Kurt Hunzeker, president of the St. Louis BattleHawks. “A shared love of football and joint commitment to the St. Louis community will drive our partnership with Anheuser-Busch, and we’re excited to  engage fans together.”

Anheuser-Busch becomes a founding partner of the BattleHawks as the team prepares for its first XFL season in 2020.  The BattleHawks kick off at the Dallas Renegades on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 4pm CT on ESPN, followed by a trip to Houston the following week to battle the Roughnecks on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 5pm CT on FS1. The team will return to St. Louis for its first-ever home opener on Sunday February 23, 2020 at 2pm at the Dome at America’s Center.
