Sean Brown is the second lineman to join Pittsburgh in free agency. The Maulers just signed OL Brodarious Hamm, jumping ship from the Michigan Panthers.
Now, Brown makes the move to Pittsburgh as well, bringing depth to a team that has consistently looked to improve their offensive line.
Sean Brown joined the Philadelphia Stars in 2022, serving as a starting center for a large chunk of the season. He helped lead the team to the USFL Championship, where they fell just short against Birmingham.
It was not the same story in 2023. Brown was active for six games, but missed a lot of time as the Stars were moving in a different direction. Sean finished the regular season on the inactive roster, and did not re-sign with Philadelphia following the end of week ten.
Spring football is nothing new for Sean, who played in The Spring League with the Generals in 2021. Additionally, he was on the Los Angeles Wildcats roster during the XFL 2020 season.
Now, he makes the move to the Pittsburgh Maulers. GM Dennis Polian has been signing free agents left and right, also bringing in:
RB Trey Williams (Generals)
WR Diondre Overton (Stars)
OL Brodarious Hamm (Panthers)
