Pittsburgh Maulers Re-Sign LB Dale Warren For 2024

The Pittsburgh Maulers have re-signed another defensive player ahead of the 2024 USFL season. Linebacker Dale Warren is officially coming back, having signed with the Maulers on Thursday.

Dale Warren has been with the Pittsburgh Maulers for the past two USFL seasons. He’s been a solid rotational piece for Jarren Horton’s defense through two years. In 2022, Warren posted 28 total tackles.

This past season, Dale finished the year with 25 tackles. He played in all ten games, starting in two of them.

One of Warren’s crucial plays of the season came in week five, against Michigan. He recovered a fumble early in the fourth quarter, which led to the Maulers taking a 23-7 lead – coming away with a major victory on the road.

Now, Dale Warren is set to play for the Pittsburgh Maulers for a third season. The team has been quite active in re-signing athletes on expiring contracts, including:

RB Madre London
WR Tre Walker
TE Matt Seybert
OT Justin Evans
OG Jon Dietzen
C Brayden Patton
C Xavier Dampeer
DL Chris Okoye Jr.
DT Terry Beckner Jr.
DT Will Miles
DE Nasir Player
CB Keith Gipson Jr.
S Malcolm Elmore
S Eli Walker

After a 4-6 record in 2023, the Maulers will look to rebound, having fallen just short in the USFL Championship game this year against Birmingham.

What are your thoughts on the Pittsburgh Maulers re-signing LB Dale Warren? Which USFL prospects should they pursue? Let us know down in the comments below, or join the conversation on Discord!

  1. He did a fine job backing up Rueben Foster when he went down. Quality player. I am imagine the USFL is grading their current players that are coming up on free agency in October. I would love to see the teams that haven’t been so active with signings, sign some of their guys. Keep the continuity for the fans and for the teams not to have to start over at square one. Players I think the fans would like back include Johnnie Dixon, Jay Adams, Dillon Davis, Kenji Bahar, Scooby Wright Nate Holley, Vince Papale, Mark Thompson, Vontae Diggs, Jarad Fernandez. Tons more. These are examples.

  2. If you want to be honest, DALE WARREN is the best LINEBACKER in the USFL, he really should be in the NFL, like if you really break down Dale Warren film from college till now he’s different than any linebacker I have saw played,he showed it against Michigan panthers 23-7 win, he showed that not only he really better than foster and Tezino, if you let him play a whole game, teams will have to game plan for him… this team has alot of politics and want give him his flowers
