Pittsburgh Maulers Re-Sign Center Xavier Dampeer For 2024

Pittsburgh Maulers Re-Sign Center Xavier Dampeer For 2024

The Pittsburgh Maulers have re-signed another offensive lineman ahead of the 2024 USFL season. Xavier Dampeer is returning to the team, having been with Pittsburgh for the last two seasons in the USFL.

Xavier has seen some valuable playing time for Pittsburgh throughout the last two years. In 2023, he played in eight games for the Maulers, making one start.

Dampeer hails from Auburn, where he saw plenty of success. He played six games that season (due to injury) and made four starts, providing the team with quality minutes when available.

Now, he rejoins the Pittsburgh Maulers for another year. The Maulers have been aggressive in re-signing key pieces, including:

RB Madre London
WR Tre Walker
OT Justin Evans
OG Jon Dietzen
C Brayden Patton
DT Terry Beckner Jr.
DT Will Miles
DE Nasir Player
CB Keith Gipson Jr.
S Malcolm Elmore

With a brand new General Manager at the helm in Dennis Polian, it’s clear that Pittsburgh is looking to re-sign athletes who are on expiring contracts. After a Championship run in 2023, now the focus shifts to getting over that hump in 2024.
