Philadelphia Stars Re-Sign Safety Joshua Moon For 2024

Philadelphia Stars Re-Sign Safety Joshua Moon For 2024

We are off! The USFL free agency frenzy has started, and we have already seen a few familiar faces join different teams for season 3, and Philadelphia Stars safety Joshua Moon joins the fray as the Stars newest re-sign.

Moon signed with the Stars during the 2022 season, when he signed ahead of the Stars week 9 matchup versus the Pittsburgh Maulers, where he played a predominantly backup role, and only notching two tackles during the season.

Moon continued to be a backup player during the Stars 2023 season, sitting behind the likes of fellow safeties Cody Brown and Ladarius Wiley, resulting in him only having seven tackles on the season for the Stars.

Season 3 may be the best chance for Moon to truly thrive, as the Stars let starting SS Ladarius Wiley, and backup Evan Worthington walk in free agency.

Moon is a typical sized safety at 6’0” 200lbs, a typical size safety for DB’s coach Martin Bayless, and he could easily be incorporated into their defensive scheme. Being able to sit and learn gives Moon a very favorable advantage to winning the starting spot next season.
