It’s official: the Orlando Storm have sent another athlete to the NFL. WR Cam Camper is signing with the New York Jets, following a workout on Thursday with Pittsburgh. His agents have confirmed the news to Pro Football Newsroom as of this A.M.
For those who watched Camper closely this year – this is no surprise. Cam was an absolute stud with the Orlando Storm this past UFL season, and one of the best storylines of the year when it comes to opportunity.
For three weeks, Camper sat on the bench as an inactive. Because of how deep Orlando’s room was at wide receiver, he had to take a backseat. Once K.J. Hamler dealt with an injury, though, it opened up the door for Cam to shine – which is exactly what he did all season long after that.
At 6’3”, Camper is a large-framed receiver who has a natural knack for finding soft spots in the defense. This was on display throughout the season. Cam was a first down machine, as Jack Plummer had full trust in him in third down situations. 17 of Camper’s 25 receptions resulted in first downs. He finished the season with 366 yards, to go along with three touchdowns.

Camper is the exact prototype that the UFL will seek out each offseason. He’s young, and clearly has the athletic skill to succeed at this level and beyond. He was the perfect fit in Orlando, and utilized the UFL as a springboard to get back to the NFL. Cam was signed as an UDFA by the Jacksonville Jaguars last year.
Cam had a breakout campaign as a senior at Boise State in 2024. He recorded 903 yards and four touchdowns, leading the team. Now, he’ll get another opportunity in the National Football League, this time with the Jets.
