On Wednesday, the New York Jets signed another UFL player. Columbus Aviators DT Patrick Jenkins was added to New York’s roster, following a successful workout with the team in the morning.
Jenkins was a first-year player in the UFL this past 2026 season. While originally signed by the DC Defenders, Patrick found himself being traded to the Aviators, in return for TE Briley Moore – the three year veteran with DC.
Patrick found a home in Columbus, fitting right in. He racked up 20 tackles, 15 QB pressures, two sacks, and 12 defensive stops in 10 games. He was on the field for 359 snaps, starting every single week at the nose tackle position.
This won’t be Patrick’s first rodeo in the NFL. He spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons in 2025, on their practice squads.
Jenkins began his college career at TCU, prior to an impressive stint at Tulane where he recorded 107 tackles and 28 tackles for loss, alongside 13 sacks in three seasons. Now, he’ll get another look in the NFL – this time with the Jets.
