New York Giants Sign XFL Battlehawks DT Kevin Atkins

The XFL has made another dream come true. St. Louis Battlehawks DT Kevin Atkins has officially signed with the New York Giants, following a successful workout earlier this week.

Kevin Atkins had a solid season in the XFL for St. Louis. While the team missed the postseason, they finished with a 7-3 record and were one of the top units in the league.

Atkins finished the year with 14 total tackles, and one sack. St. Louis boasted a strong defensive line, with Kevin playing an important role throughout the season. Out of the ten games played, he started nine.

Kevin is the 33rd player from the XFL to officially sign with an NFL team in the offseason. Once again, the league is coming through on their promise: providing opportunities to their athletes.

Kevin Atkins had an excellent college career at Fresno State. During his final two seasons with the school, he compiled 64 tackles and 12 sacks, dominating in the trenches.

After a stint with the San Francisco 49ers, Kevin Atkins landed in the XFL – and performed well for the St. Louis Battlehawks. Now, he has a chance to further his professional career, due to the national platform that the XFL provided him with.
