New Orleans Saints Signing XFL Roughnecks WR Jontre Kirklin

New Orleans Saints Signing XFL Roughnecks WR Jontre Kirklin

The XFL has officially sent their 45th player to the NFL. Standout WR Jontre Kirklin has signed with the New Orleans Saints, having fully healed from an injury suffered this season in the XFL.

Kirklin was an absolute playmaker for the Houston Roughnecks. He was clearly a top receiver in the league through five weeks, doing a bit of everything for AJ Smith’s offense.

Jontre got injured in week five, which ended his season short. He had racked up 253 yards and four touchdowns before getting hurt.

On top of that, Kirklin even threw for a touchdown. In week four against Orlando, the team drew up some trickery – with Jontre tossing a dime to Deontay Burnett for the score.

Now, Jontre Kirklin has an NFL opportunity with the New Orleans Saints. This isn’t his first rodeo, having been with the Arizona Cardinals for a short stint in 2022.

It’s excellent to see the XFL truly living up to its name. Owners Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia call it the “league of opportunities” – which, is something they are providing to hundreds of athletes.

With Jontre Kirklin signing to the New Orleans Saints, we are just five players away from hitting 50 XFL to NFL athletes.
