New Orleans Breakers Re-Sign DT Djimon Brooks For 2024

The New Orleans Breakers continue to re-sign athletes on expiring contracts. Defensive tackle Djimon Brooks has officially returned for the 2024 season, bringing depth to New Orleans on that end.

Djimon Brooks has been with the New Orleans Breakers for the past two USFL seasons. In 2022, he saw limited minutes, finishing with five tackles.

In 2023, Brooks was active for all ten games, starting four of them. The Breakers had one of the top defenses in the league, filled with quality role players such as Djimon. This year, Brooks posted ten tackles, alongside two sacks.

Now, Brooks is set to return to a New Orleans Breakers team that will look to make another postseason run in 2024.

Brooks had a successful college career at Georgia Tech, registering 87 tackles and one sack during three seasons.

General Manager Ryan Jones has been picking up the pace in free agency as of late. The Breakers have re-signed several players, including:

WR Jonathan Adams
OL Jackson Kramer
DT Connor Christian
DE Anree Saint-Amour
S Jarey Elder
P Matt White
LS Turner Bernard
