The New Orleans Breakers have brought back another defensive piece, re-signing CB Michael Stevens. This is the first official move the team has made during this USFL free agency period.
The New Orleans Breakers have re-signed CB Michael Stevens, per the FOX Sports roster.
Stevens played in all ten games for the @USFLBreakers, starting six, and finished the year with 25 total tackles. Looks like he is back with New Orleans after two days on the open market.

Michael Stevens has been with the Breakers for the past two seasons in the USFL. In 2022, he finished the year with 17 tackles and an interception, helping lead the team to a postseason berth.
Mike Stevens pick. #Breakers are the best team in the USFL. They were coming into the season. They are officially now. 31-3 against arguably the 2nd best team in Tampa Bay.

During the 2023 campaign, Stevens played an important role with New Orleans. He was active for all ten games, and started six of them at corner. Michael posted 25 total tackles in 2023.
Stevens is no stranger to spring football. He played with the XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats during the shortened 2020 season, registering 26 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack in just five games.
Prior to that stint, he was excellent at North Carolina State. Now, he is set to return to the New Orleans Breakers for the 2024 USFL season.
