New Jersey Generals Sign OT Charles Baldwin, Release Bruce Trigg

New Jersey Generals Sign OT Charles Baldwin For 2024

The New Jersey Generals signed free agent OT Charles Baldwin yesterday, adding some depth to the teams’ offensive line ahead of 2024.

Charles Baldwin played the majority of his college football at Kansas, and Youngstown State. During his final year in 2018 at Youngstown, he started in nine of ten games played.

Since then, he has been a journeyman. He was originally an XFL prospect in 2020, but ended up having a stint with the BC Lions in the CFL.

From there, Baldwin made his way to the USFL in 2022. He signed with the Pittsburgh Maulers, and saw action in several games for the team.

In 2023, Charles began the season with the Maulers. He played in two games, making one start. Ultimately, Baldwin was released by Pittsburgh on May 23rd.

Now, Charles Baldwin has an opportunity to further his professional career in the USFL once again, this time with the New Jersey Generals.

This signing comes just days after the team released OL Bruce Trigg.
