New Jersey Generals Sign Free Agent CB Derrick Langford

The New Jersey Generals have signed another free agent ahead of the 2024 USFL season. CB Derrick Langford joins the team out of Washington State, bringing depth to the secondary.

Derrick Langford joins the team as the newest member of the defense. Langford brings quite a bit to the table, having an outstanding career at Washington State.

Langford began his collegiate career at the City College of San Francisco, where he played well. Derrick racked up 30 tackles and an interception in his lone season there, before transferring to Washington State.

Upon arrival in Washington, Derrick saw a limited role for the first couple of seasons. He only made one start in his first 14 games.

However, his final two seasons at Washington State were quite impressive. He started in his final 26 games of action, posting 78 tackles and four interceptions in what was a dominant campaign.

Following his stint in Washington, Derrick Langford most recently spent time with the New York Jets during the NFL preseason. He signed as an undrafted free agent back in April, but was ultimately released on cutdown day at the end of August.
