The DC Defenders have sent another player to the NFL’s ranks. DT Casey Rogers is signing with the New England Patriots, Jordan Schultz reported today.
For Rogers, this past year was his first in the spring football space. He joined the DC Defenders this past offseason, as one of their draft selections. Casey did enough to make the roster, earning a quality rotational role with DC.
Rogers started in two of the 12 games he played in this season. He tallied two sacks, 22 tackles, and seven defensive stops in 2026.
Casey Rogers is no stranger to the NFL. He was signed by the New York Giants in 2024 as an UDFA, and has spent some time there alongside Buffalo.
Following a workout with the New England Patriots late last week, Rogers makes his way to New England as a depth add for camp. He had a workout with the Arizona Cardinals as well. Casey is the second Defenders defensive lineman to sign an NFL contract. Devonnsha Maxwell was acquired by the Atlanta Falcons last month.
