Earlier this week Director of Quarterback Development Jordan Palmer shared a story on instagram that gave us a glipse into the potential XFL quarterbacks for 2023. If there was any doubt about it, the story was captioned “@xfl QBs are at HQ”. In the intial video some intersting options were able to be identified.
- Bryan Scott
- D’Eriq King
- Deondre Francois
- Drew Plitt
- Ryan Willis
- Steven Montez
Bryan Scott most recently comes off an injury, which he sustained playing for the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars. The team went onto the Championship. Unfortunately Case Cookus ended up breaking his leg with the team narrowly losing to the Birmingham Stallions.
Ryan Willis was notably the Mega Bowl MVP after securing The Spring League Championship for the Linemen in 2021.
Additionally Drew Plitt, who played for Ball State and had a short stint with the Cinncinatti Bengals in the off-season.
Through the help of @MaxScouts and others, we have identified the 9 quarterbacks currently training with @XFL2023 Director of QB Development @JwPalms.

Jordan Palmer posted another video, and in it we get another view at the guys that are up for consideration. Between Reid (Marckcast) and Max Levy we get some more names to account for.
In addition to the names listed above, they were able to identify Brandon Silvers, Jalan McClendon and Jawon Pass.
Most natably is former Memphis Express (AAF), Seattle Dragons (XFL) and Conquerors (TSL) quarterback Brandon Silvers. It was reported that Silvers was wanted in the USFL, but due to an error he was not included in the draft pool. It looks like he has another chance ahead of himself to make a name in the spring football scene.
The question still remains, will the XFL designate the starting quarterbacks for each franchise as they did in 2020? The XFL Draft is slated to begin November 16th, so we should know soon enough.
While most fans are waiting for the much anticipated team names and logos, the league is working in the background to make an impact when they return to the field.
