Major League Football (MLFB) has been a long time coming, but it seems they’re finally getting things into gear. Two weeks ago the league named Jerry Glanville as their first head coach. Last week MLFB updated their website and announced their second head coach. Now, we have the third.
Earlier this afternoon MFL put out a press release revealing that Bill Conley would serve as their third head coach.
Furthermore, they stated that the last head coach will be named next week.
Conley served as the head coach at Ohio Dominican University from 2010 to 2015, compiling a record of 46–21. He played college football at Ohio State University under head coach Woody Hayes. He later served as an assistant at his alma mater under head coaches John Cooper and Jim Tressel.

As MLFB moves closer to “cleats in the grass,” we are pleased to announce our next head coach and welcome him to the fold. As a head coach at Ohio Dominican, Bill Conley was instrumental in bringing well-deserved, national attention. His legendary status isn’t the only aspect that attracted us to hire him, his character and commitment to the sport are also highly sought after.
“When a young man becomes a better player and a better person, we have done our jobs as coaches,” says Coach Bill Conley, “that is when we can feel successful.” Conley has a long and storied track record of developing players into high-performers. “I love the idea that MLFB is working toward getting players to the next level. The people are all professionals; the coaches, the trainers, all the front office guys, every one of them are proven winners.” Suffice it to say, Bill Conley is just as excited to get started as we are to have him.
In following with our, now well-known, philosophy of shaping our athletes into better players and better people, Conley is another quintessential addition. “We have spent the necessary time researching and vetting our coaching picks. There have been plenty of names thrown into the hat. These coaching hires have proven value and have the skills needed to provide the fans some exciting gameplay,” said Frank Murtha, CEO, and Chairman of MLFB. “Bill had a long and stellar history at Ohio State and Ohio Dominican,” states Murtha. Conley says “Players have to become students of the game to be successful. They have to learn the game.”
MLFB has one more coach to announce and plans to release that name in the next week.
