The Minnesota Vikings have snagged yet another DC Defenders player, this time signing QB Jordan Ta’amu to the roster.
Ta’amu started all 10 regular season games for the Defenders this past XFL season, and will look to bring that same reliability to Minnesota. In 10 games, Ta’amu threw for 1,894 passing yards, with 14 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions. On the ground, Ta’amu added 298 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.

Ta’amu’s journey has been one wild ride. I wrote a column during the 2020 XFL season about Ta’amu’s journey up until that point, but in the past three years Ta’amu’s football journey has not slowed down one bit.
After spending time in a few NFL camps, Ta’amu played in the USFL in 2022 for the Tampa Bay Bandits. Following the 2022 USFL season, Ta’amu decided to make the move back to the relaunching XFL.
WOW. 72 YARDS. Jordan Ta'amu threads the needle to Josh Hammond, who takes it the distance.
Just like that, the @XFLDefenders are right back in this game. If you're not watching the #XFLChampionship right now, you're missing out. @XFL2023 pic.twitter.com/y3STZysjgE

Ta’amu joins fellow Defenders’ teammates, Lucky Jackson and Abram Smith, adding another DC offensive weapon to the Vikings roster.
Jordan Ta’amu is the eighth DC Defenders player to sign an NFL contract this offseason. He joins a list that currently includes Chris Blair (ATL), Ferrod Gardner (WSH), Lucky Jackson (MIN), Liam Ryan (SEA), Abram Smith (MIN), Brandon Smith (ARI), and Daniel Whelan (GB).
