LaColby Tucker has a very unique story, one that’s still being written. Tucker hasn’t played a snap of organized football since 2020, but has consistently been training and looking for opportunities since coming out of college.
He began his college career at Garden City Community College, ranking as the 12th JUCO offensive tackle in the nation. From there, he went to Missouri Southern State. Tucker played for one year, but didn’t see much action.
Tucker’s name might be familiar to some spring football fans, due to the buzz he generated at the XFL Combine this past July. LaColby was one of the standout performers of the outing, generating plenty of XFL interest – and NFL interest, too.

Tucker ended up signing with the Atlanta Falcons, spending a bit of time with the team during training camp. LaColby is a force to be reckoned with, at 6’9” – weighing in at 313 lbs. according to the Atlanta Falcons website.
Now, he will look to officially kick start his professional career with the Michigan Panthers in the UFL.
GM Steve Kazor has strategically picked up talent where needed for the Panthers. The team still has a couple of openings left for training camp, and one would expect that one of those is for LB Frank Ginda, who has yet to return.
With February 14th just around the corner (free agency deadline), this final week and a half should prove to be quite interesting in the UFL.
