The Michigan Panthers continue to secure more talent for 2024. OL Kyle Fuller and LB Isaac Darkangelo have signed to the team, bringing depth to both positions. Mike Nolan’s Panthers are now confirmed to be a part of the USFL-XFL merger, and will have the opportunity to sign free agents until December 26th.
OL Kyle Fuller
The @USFLPanthers have signed another big man up front with OG/OC Kyle Fuller out of Baylor.
Fuller, a 7th Rd pick in '17, has several years NFL experience, starting 12 games and playing in 51. He was last with the Ravens this Sept.
Kyle Fuller joins the Michigan Panthers offensive line with tons of experience, both in college and in the NFL.
Fuller played his college football at Baylor, where he started in his final 38 games. In 2016, he earned All-Big 12 First Team honors, serving as one of the top lineman in his conference.
From there, Kyle has been around the block in the NFL for several years. He started his career with the Houston Texans, starting in two of nine games played in 2017.
His latest game experience came in 2021, with the Seattle Seahawks. He saw action in 14 games, starting nine of them. Since then, Kyle Fuller most recently had opportunities with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.
Isaac Darkangelo is an intriguing prospect for Michigan, out of Illinois. Darkangelo had a tremendous senior season there, posting 72 tackles and a sack in 13 games played. This earned him an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2022.
With Frank Ginda back on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad, Michigan gets some much needed LB depth with Isaac Darkangelo.
It’s been a rather unique week for the Michigan Panthers. News broke that Michigan was one of four teams who would survive the merger. GM Steve Kazor has been busy signing free agents as of late – including QB E.J. Perry – who was signed to the Jaguars practice squad just hours after re-upping with the Panthers.
The Panthers also just re-signed DE Breeland Speaks, alongside adding free agent DT Daniel Wise. The team will be able to protect up to 42 of their own players under contract, before the draft/dispersal process begins.
