Michigan Panthers Sign Former USFL/XFL WR Lance Lenoir Jr.

The Michigan Panthers made another addition to their roster right as UFL training camp is about to begin. Lance Lenoir Jr. is back in the house, bringing even more depth to a talented wide receiver room for the Panthers.

Spring football fans – especially those of the Michigan Panthers – will recognize Lance. He played with the Panthers back in the inaugural USFL season, leading the team with 52 receptions for 484 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the quarterback carousel that Michigan featured that year, Lenoir consistently put up impressive numbers as a force offensively.

After the USFL season, Lenoir signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was released in late August with an injury settlement, and then was picked up by the Los Angeles Rams practice squad in December of 2022.

Lenoir became a free agent again soon after, and ultimately decided to head to the XFL, signing with the Orlando Guardians during the season. He played in four games, totaling 99 receiving yards.

After going undrafted throughout the dispersal process with the merger, Lance Lenoir Jr. now returns to the Michigan Panthers for the upcoming UFL season.

Lenoir is an extremely talented wideout and his signing makes plenty of sense given the retirement of Corey Coleman. The former Western Illinois product racked up 3,761 yards and 27 touchdowns in college.

Final Thoughts

The Michigan Panthers are loading up for this season, and will feature a relatively different look offensively. Eric Marty, their offensive coordinator for the last two years, was replaced by Stars’ WR Coach Marcel Bellefeuille.

Right now, the wide receiver room also features:

Dezmon Patton
Devin Gray
Devin Ross
Garrett Maag
Jordan Suell
Marcus Simms
Samson Nacua
Terry Wright
Trey Quinn

Head Coach Mike Nolan has a ton of talent to work with on this offense. This WR group is stacked, and the competition in training camp will be very intense, no doubt.
