Memphis Showboats Sign USFL Draft Pick TE Michael Ezeike

The Memphis Showboats have signed another USFL College Draft Pick, this time bringing in TE Michael Ezeike.

Over the course of the last few months, the Showboats have signed multiple college draft picks. Michael Ezeike was selected in the fifth round, with pick #35.

Originally, Michael did not sign to Memphis. He had a preseason stint with the Los Angeles Chargers, but ultimately did not make the 53 man roster, or the practice squad.

Now, Ezeike takes his talents to the USFL. Weighing in at 6’5” and 250 pounds, Michael is a big-bodied tight end who has a knack for finding the end zone.

In his senior season at UCLA, he started in eight of twelve games played. During that span, he racked up 226 yards and four touchdowns on 20 receptions.

Michael Ezeike finished his collegiate career with 407 receiving yards and seven touchdowns at UCLA.

General Manager Dave Razzano has been active in pursuing college draft picks. Since the draft went down in February, the team has also signed:

CB Nehemiah Shelton (released for NY Jets)
S Antonio Fletcher
