Memphis Showboats Sign Free Agent LB Dylan Moses For 2024

Memphis Showboats Sign Free Agent LB Dylan Moses For 2024

The Memphis Showboats made another free agent addition to the team on Wednesday, signing LB Dylan Moses who brings plenty of depth and talent to the defense.

Dylan Moses played for four years at Alabama. He had a few successful seasons, ultimately racking up 196 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two interceptions during his tenure there.

His senior campaign, in particular, was quite impressive – especially considering the circumstances. Moses posted 80 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and an interception in 13 games, making 13 starts.

Dylan Moses has been through all sorts of adversity throughout his career. He tore his ACL before the 2020 season, which forced him to redshirt that year. To come back and dominate in 2021 was a remarkable feat, and one that put him on the radar of some NFL teams.

After going undrafted in 2022, Moses landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and spent some time with the organization. Unfortunately, he was released during the cutdown period that preseason.

Now, Dylan will look to jumpstart his professional career in the USFL. If he can be a similar force to that of Pittsburgh Maulers LB Reuben Foster, this team will be in great shape.

This signing makes a lot of sense for the Memphis Showboats. They have yet to re-sign LB Jeff McCulloch, and Moses could certainly prove to be his replacement.

Final Thoughts

Dave Razzano and the Showboats have been making moves. Despite no longer having Todd Haley as the head coach, the team has signed several free agents recently, including:

TE Michael Ezeike
DT P.J. Hall
DB Nehemiah Shelton
