Memphis, it’s time to show out for your squad. The Memphis Showboats have finally released their uniforms ahead of the 2023 USFL season, ready to sport their new colors and identity heading into April.

The Memphis Showboats colors consist of white, navy blue, and a light gold. This differs completely from the Showboats of the 1980s, who were primarily red and white.

Looking at the design, it’s clear that the USFL drew inspiration from the current iteration of the Pittsburgh Maulers. The shoulder block is nearly identical to Pittsburgh.
Personally, these jerseys aren’t on the same tier as the New Orleans Breakers, or Michigan Panthers. A bit more creativity certainly would have been appreciated. Overall, the new uniforms look solid, and should be fun to watch on the football field in 2023.

Generally speaking, the Memphis Showboats are seeing plenty of changes ahead of year two. The Tampa Bay Bandits morphed into the Showboats, as the USFL decided to move the franchise to Memphis.
Now, the team prepares for their inaugural season in the USFL, under the leadership of Todd Haley. The Bandits went 4-6 in 2022, missing the postseason, so Memphis will look to do better than that.
Season two of the USFL kicks off on April 15th, at 4:30pm ET with these Memphis Showboats hosting the Philadelphia Stars.
