Memphis Showboats Re-Sign LB Kahzin Daniels For 2024

Memphis Showboats Re-Sign DE/LB Kahzin Daniels For 2024

The Memphis Showboats have secured DE/LB Kahzin Daniels for the 2024 UFL season, bringing him back to the roster after his release a few months ago.

Daniels had originally been removed from the FOX Sports roster at some point back in the fall. When the merger became official, and each team revealed their list of protected players, he was nowhere to be found, and presumably went unprotected.

With the addition of his name back to the UFL rosters (which were updated this morning), a league source confirms that he has indeed been brought back.

Kahzin Daniels had been signed by the Tampa Bay Bandits during the 2022 offseason, and made the shift with the team over to Memphis. He was placed on the injured reserve list on April 8th, spending most of the season as an inactive player. In three active games in 2023, Daniels posted two tackles.

Daniels played his college football at Charleston, where he registered 168 tackles and 35.5 sacks across four seasons. He spent some time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well, notching two tackles during the 2019 NFL season.

His story is absolutely remarkable, as Kahzin is legally blind in one eye. This hasn’t stopped him from making some impressive accomplishments in pro football, and now he will look to continue his career in the UFL, back with the Memphis Showboats.

Final Thoughts

GM Dennis Polian and HC John DeFilippo have continued to put their final touches on their roster for training camp. Recently, the team signed WR Josh Vann. Additionally, they released P Brandon Wright, K Alex Kessman, and TE John Mitchell.

Memphis will feature a much different look in 2024, as the roster now holds quite a bit of talent from other USFL and XFL teams. It’s an exciting time for Showboats fans, as this organization is expected to make some major noise in the UFL this year.
