Maulers DL Jeremiah Pharms Signs To Patriots Active Roster

Jeremiah Pharms has finally gotten his opportunity to shine with the New England Patriots. After being with the practice squad for the last two seasons – elevated on occasion for game day – he has officially signed to the active roster as of today.

During the USFL’s inaugural season, Jeremiah Pharms played with the Pittsburgh Maulers. While the team struggled as a whole with a 1-9 record, Pharms was outstanding. He finished the year with 32 tackles and two sacks, serving as one of the top defensive lineman in the league.

After his USFL campaign, Pharms signed to New England, ultimately landing on the practice squad. He’s spent the last two seasons in New England, seeing limited minutes but shining when given a chance.

During the 2023 preseason, Jeremiah Pharms was excellent. In three games, he posted 11 tackles, and was one of the highest graded players on the entire team.

Due to injuries on the defensive line, Pharms has been elevated from the practice squad for three games this season, notching one tackle so far.

Now, he is set to play on the active roster for the rest of the year, barring any setbacks. According to Mike Kadlick, he has signed a two year deal.

This is a major accomplishment for Jeremiah, one that likely wouldn’t have been possible without the national platform the USFL provided him with.

Pharms will suit up for the Patriots this Sunday, as they host the Washington Commanders at 1pm ET.
