Las Vegas Raiders Sign Houston Gamblers WR Isaiah Zuber

Isaiah Zuber is back in the NFL. The Houston Gamblers wide receiver has now been signed to an NFL team in both USFL offseasons, having re-signed with the Las Vegas Raiders per Aaron Wilson.

During the 2022 USFL season, Isaiah Zuber was excellent. He finished the year with 322 receiving yards and five touchdowns, averaging 14.6 yards per reception.

This landed him a gig with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he impressed in preseason. Interestingly enough, Zuber plays multiple positions, and was featured on both offense and defense for Las Vegas during that stint.

Isaiah Zuber eventually returned to the Houston Gamblers midway through the 2023 USFL season. While he only started in three games, Zuber posted 103 receiving yards, and made an impact on special teams. Isaiah registered 442 kick return yards, which put him in 7th place in the USFL despite playing in a few games.

Due to his solid performances in the USFL, Isaiah Zuber has now landed another NFL opportunity. Interestingly enough, it is with the Raiders once again, who decided to bring him back.

The NFL isn’t new territory for Isaiah. Obviously, he spent time last year with the Raiders. In addition, Zuber was with the New England Patriots from 2020-2021, recording two regular season receptions.

Isaiah Zuber is the third Houston Gamblers athlete to sign an NFL deal this offseason. TE Josh Pederson signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Meanwhile, RB Aaron Shampklin has just signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as of earlier today.

Had it not been for the platform – and the national exposure – that the USFL provided him with, who knows if this opportunity would have come along.
