The XFL Training Camp started last week, and we’re seeing a major casualty already. The Dallas Renegades have revealed that tier tier 1 quarterback, Landry Jones has sustained a knee injury. He is currently projected to be out for 4-6 weeks. This is a major setback for Bob Stoops and the Dallas Renegades.

Landry Jones was the first quarterback announced for the league. He was a major drawing point for the XFL and the Dallas Renegades. The Renegades will need to rely on Phillip Nelson, as he’s the only other quarterback signed to the franchise.

HOUSTON — Dallas Renegades QB Landry Jones sustained a left knee injury during Monday’s practice at the team’s training camp. Jones will continue to be evaluated by the Renegades’ medical staff.

“We are sorry to see Landry sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks and are hopeful he will heal quickly and be back on the field at our opener, if not just shortly after,” Renegades head coach and general manager Bob Stoops said. “Landry is the leader of our team and will continue to play that key role.”
