Dragons CB, Kyle Queiro Suffers Broken Collarbone; Season Over

There was a lot of controversy over the ending of yesterday’s match-up between the Houston Roughnecks and the Seattle Dragons. The game ended with Houston running down the clock, up by 9. The problem came in when PJ Walker kneeled on fourth down, there should have been two seconds left in the game. This would have allowed Seattle one chance to score and convert a three-point conversion to tie the game and force overtime.

Well, today we’re learning more bad news from that match-up. Dragons CB, Kyle Queiro, has announced that he suffered a broken collarbone during the game, effectively ending his season.

Queiro expressed his frustrations with the officiating, saying that he spoke to the refs early in the game to say they need call clipping or somebody would get hurt. Only for him to be injured later that afternoon. This is very unfortunate to hear, you never want to see anybody out for an extended period of time.

We wish Kyle a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the field next season.
