UFL players are flying off the boards right now. DC Defenders OT Trey Wedig signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced today.
Trey Wedig was an offseason addition to the DC Defenders, joining an offensive line room that saw some changes. DC was without Yasir Durant to begin the year, and then lost Yasir to IR a few weeks after he signed.
While Trey was a rotational/reserve piece for the first half of the season, his role grew as the weeks went on. Wedig ended up starting in the final three games, including both playoff appearances. During 200 snaps played, Trey didn’t allow any sacks.
Trey is a versatile offensive lineman. He’s got dozens of starts to his name at the collegiate level, at both guard and tackle. Wedig played at both Wisconsin and Indiana.

Trey Wedig has some NFL experience already. He was with the Los Angeles Rams as an UDFA in 2025, prior to a quick look with the Arizona Cardinals.
