Houston Roughnecks Sign OT Na’Ty Rodgers In UFL FA

The Houston Roughnecks brought in some more depth for their offensive line. OT Na’Ty Rodgers has signed to the team, which is essentially a “re-signing” given the fact that he was with the Houston Gamblers prior to the merger.

Na’Ty Rodgers is a great addition to this line, especially since he already has familiarity with Curtis Johnson’s system.

Rodgers is a spring football veteran, having played with the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers in 2020. He participated in three games that year. In 2022, Na’Ty spent time in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, starting in nine games.

He decided to make the switch to the USFL in 2023, joining the Houston Gamblers. Rodgers started in nine games once again, and was a key piece to the success that OPOY Mark Thompson saw that year.

After spending some time as a free agent, Na’Ty Rodgers now reunites with his 2023 coaching staff, this time with the Houston Roughnecks.

Head Coach Curtis Johnson has spoken positively about Houston’s run game so far throughout Training Camp. The offensive line seems to be gelling, and this addition should only help improve upon that.
