Houston Roughnecks Sign OT Cam Carter In UFL Free Agency

The Houston Roughnecks made another roster addition, signing OT Cam Carter on Wednesday, who is no stranger to the spring football scene.

For those who watched the USFL in 2023, Cam Carter was a part of a New Jersey Generals offense that had the best rushing attack in the league. They led the USFL with 134 rushing yards per game last year.

Carter started in nine of the nine games he played in this past season, and was a key component to what was a stout running game.

Cam played his college football at Murray State, and was a starter his last three seasons. Across that span, he started in 32 games.

During the dispersal draft process, Carter was picked up by the Birmingham Stallions. Many were expecting him to make it to camp with the team, but he was released on waivers before training camp began.

Now, he’ll look to continue his professional playing career in the United Football League, with the Houston Roughnecks.

Final Thoughts

Houston has been making a few moves as of late. The team recently signed Kicker JJ Molson to compete with Luis Aguilar, as training camp officially got underway this week.
