With UFL Training Camp getting under way, there’s been quite a bit of roster movement. The Houston Gamblers are a team that stuffed the transaction sheet on Thursday, as Kevin Sumlin & Co. had several moves to make.
Roster Signings
WR Kobe Hudson

Hudson is a receiver out of Auburn who comes into the UFL with legitimate upside. He led Auburn in receiving yards as a sophomore, with 580 yards and four touchdowns that year. Kobe then transferred to UCF, racking up 900 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 20.5 yards per reception. Collegiately, he posted nearly 3,000 yards and 23 scores – showcasing his ability to get to the end zone, and create at every offensive level. Kobe was recently with the Carolina Panthers in the preseason.
Victor Curne brings depth and positional flexibility to Houston’s offensive lineup. He’s no stranger to spring football, playing for the Michigan Panthers in 2025. Victor took 170 snaps with Michigan in 2025, making two starts – allowing just one sack.
It’s rare to see a player remain at the same college for several seasons, but that’s what Matt Harmon did at Kent State. He played in 49 games throughout his career, coming into his own as a senior with 56 tackles, seven TFL’s, and two sacks – career highs in every category. Harmon was with the Minnesota Vikings this past preseason. He’s a prospect who comes into Houston as a strong candidate to be a rotational piece on their defensive line, especially with the loss of Shaka Toney.
The Gamblers need a ballhawk with the dismissal of Clarence Lewis, and that’s what they get in Zy Alexander. Zy began his college career at Southeastern Louisiana, recording nine interceptions in just two seasons. He then transferred to LSU to play for the Tigers – the school he wanted to attend since he was a kid. Alexander posted 27 tackles, three interceptions, and four PBU’s as a senior. Recently, Zy has had NFL opportunities with the Bills and Seahawks.

DB Clarence Lewis
The Gamblers lost Clarence Lewis, a promising cornerback out of Syracuse. He will be missed, with 30 PBU’s during his college career. Jordan Williams was also a young prospect who had potential, making dozens of starts collegiately – including some preseason reps with the Atlanta Falcons.
