The USFL’s defensive player of the year, Chris Odom, has made it to the NFL. He was absolutely sensational for the Houston Gamblers this season, and now joins the Cleveland Browns.
903 days since I was back in the league. Thank you @theusfl @usflgamblers for the opportunity to continue to live my dream. Next chapter. Let’s get it @clevelandbrowns #dawgseason #dawgpound @ Cleveland Browns https://t.co/BZH7EB00Fc

Odom was a monster in the USFL, to say the least. He was by far one of the most consistent players in 2022, creating havoc week in and week out. He led the league in sacks, with twelve on the season – alongside 41 tackles.

On top of that, Odom made big time plays in multiple different areas. He blocked four field goals on the season, forced six fumbles, always finding a way to get involved at crucial points in each game.
Chris Odom making another huge play? Who would've seen that one coming. Seriously, this guy has to be in an NFL camp in a few weeks. Absolutely deserves it. pic.twitter.com/rM1f3Cwou8

Chris has been in and out of the NFL for a few years now, spending time with the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Commanders. He was also in the Alliance of American Football in 2019, playing with the Salt Lake Stallions.

Without a doubt, Odom absolutely deserved his DPOY honors. While Houston struggled to win games for most of the season, Chris was spectacular – putting fear into every opponent he faced.
Now, the USFL superstar returns to the NFL – all because of the opportunities that the United States Football League presented him with. You can stay up to date on all USFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
